The head instructor at BJJ Lifestyle Academy is “Brazilian” Mike Rethmeyer, a three time Pan American Jiu-Jitsu medalist and Rodrigo Vaghi black belt. Rodrigo Vaghi is a 4th Degree Black Belt in the Rickson Gracie International Jiu-Jitsu Association. Rethmeyer has won numerous championships including NAGA, The Arnold Classic and The Relson Gracie US Nationals.

Wrestling Coach: Andrew Sanchez
In 2007 as a freshman, Andrew Sanchez was a collegiate wrestling national runner up (NAIA) and was the 2009 NAIA national champion in the 197 pound weight class. He is currently the team captain and has two more years to wrestle for McKendree University.
He is a brazilian jiujitsu 2 stripe blue belt and 2009 Missouri State BJJ Champion.
Andrew has a 3-0 record for amateur mma. 2 wins by ground in pound in the first round and 1 by submission in the second round.
